Are hammocks safe for guinea pigs?
Hammocks can be safe if they are made from sturdy, washable fabric and attached securely to the cage. However, not all guinea pigs will use hammocks, and some may fall while attempting to enter them. How many hideouts should be in a guinea pig cage?

Can I make my own guinea pig cage accessories?

Owners should not attempt to treat these conditions at home. In cases of suspected gastrointestinal obstruction, veterinary attention should be sought immediately.
