        "text": "Many cats achieve long-term survival. In a study of retrovirus-positive cats treated for effusive FIP, the one-year survival rate was 82%. Seven cats were alive at follow-up a median of 1306 days after diagnosis. Some cats develop other health problems later, including lymphoma in about 2% of one treatment cohort, so ongoing veterinary monitoring is wise."
