# Novartis Strikes $3.2 Billion Deal with Alteogen for Subcutaneous Drug Delivery

Novartis has struck a deal worth up to $3.2 billion with Alteogen to work on subcutaneous drug delivery technology. The deal adds Novartis to a growing list of drugmakers that have paid to access Alteogen’s platform this year, joining Biogen and GSK. The agreement focuses on converting existing intravenous drugs into formulations that can be injected under the skin.

Subcutaneous drug delivery is a key area of interest for the biopharmaceutical industry.
