Does Cosequin Actually Work? What the Dog Trials Show

This is the part most product pages skip. The canine evidence for glucosamine and chondroitin is not strong, and the largest, most rigorous studies lean negative.

The strongest single canine trial

The most directly relevant study is a 2023 prospective, block-randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled clinical trial in 75 owned pet dogs with hip osteoarthritis [1].
